Rob is a Cambridge linguist. After 10 years in the British Diplomatic Service he followed his passion to teach languages and manage schools both in the UK and overseas. Using languages to engage with people in the countries he visits allows him to explore culture, custom and cuisine. He has been known to spend more than an hour in conversation with the local baker when on a simple quest for a loaf and is regularly lost in a market!
